Nashik, 22nd July : A three-day book fair organised by the Book Lovers’ Society opened at the Nehru Hall on Saturday. More than fifty publishers are displaying books in Marathi, Hindi and English, and the fair was inaugurated by the well-known writer Dr Sudha Deshpande.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Deshpande said that reading is the best habit a young person can cultivate. The society’s secretary, Mr Anil Joshi, informed that a special stall for children, a “meet the author” session and a 20 per cent discount on all books have been arranged.
Hundreds of students from nearby schools visited the fair on the first day. The fair will remain open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. till Monday; entry is free.
