BITSAT 2027 is the online admission test of BITS Pilani for its integrated first degree programmes (B.E., M.Sc. and B.Pharm) at the Pilani, K K Birla Goa and Hyderabad campuses. BITS calls it the sole route to these programmes, with no management quota. As of 24 October 2026, BITSAT 2027 has not been announced, and BITS says the 2026–27 admission cycle is closed. In the last cycle applications opened on 15 December 2025, with Session 1 on 15–16 April and Session 2 on 24–26 May 2026.

None of these 2027 dates is official. Watch admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in, which BITS says is its only official admissions website.
Eligibility (2026 rules)
- Class 12 from a recognised Central or State board, with at least five subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, a language and one more subject.
- For B.E. and M.Sc. programmes: at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and at least 60% in each of the three. Theory and practical marks both count.
- For B.Pharm, B.E. Environmental and Sustainability Engineering and M.Sc. Biological Sciences: the same percentages in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
- For BITSAT-2026, candidates had to be appearing for Class 12 in 2026 or have passed in 2025. The 2027 brochure will set the years for this cycle.
- First-rank holders of State and Central boards in India got direct admission to the programme of their choice, whatever their BITSAT score.

Each session is a 3-hour computer-based test with no break and no time limit for each part. Every correct answer gets +3 and every wrong answer −1, so the maximum on the 130 questions is 390. If you answer all 130 questions and still have time, you can attempt 12 extra questions (three each from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology, and Logical Reasoning). Once you start the extra questions, you cannot change your earlier answers. The test is in English only. If you take both sessions, the higher score counts.
Syllabus
The BITSAT brochure gives the topic-wise syllabus for each part. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology follow the Class 11 and 12 curriculum, and English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning are separate sections. Read the 2027 brochure when it is published.

The Dubai centre cost ₹7,250 for one session and ₹9,250 for both. The fee is non-refundable.
Exam centres in Maharashtra
The 2026 centre list included Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Kolhapur and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, along with centres across India, the three BITS campuses and Dubai.
What the score is used for
BITSAT scores are used only for BITS Pilani's first degree admissions. After the test you apply for admission with your Class 12 marks and programme preferences, and BITS publishes admit and wait lists in iterations. In 2026 the first iteration was in June.
Tips for Maharashtra students
- The 75% PCM aggregate and 60% in each subject apply to your HSC marks, so board preparation matters as much as BITSAT practice.
- If you top the Maharashtra HSC board, the board-topper direct admission rule applies (2026 rule).
- BITSAT Session 1 (April) can fall close to MHT-CET and JEE (Main) Session 2, so check all three timetables once they are announced.

When will BITSAT 2027 registration open?
BITS has not announced it as of 24 October 2026. The last cycle opened on 15 December 2025, so mid-December 2026 is likely.
How many times can I take BITSAT?
In 2026 there were two sessions, and the higher of the two scores counted. The 2027 brochure will confirm the format.
What Class 12 marks do I need for BITS Pilani?
Under the 2026 rules: at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (or Biology for some programmes), with at least 60% in each subject.
Does BITSAT have negative marking?
