VITEEE 2027 is the entrance exam of Vellore Institute of Technology for B.Tech admission at VIT Vellore, VIT Chennai, VIT-AP and VIT Bhopal. Applications have been open since 20 October 2026, and the last date is 31 March 2027. According to VIT's official site, the computer-based exam is scheduled for 27 April – 2 May 2027 (tentative). You can take VITEEE only once in 2027.

VIT marks the admit card, exam, result and counselling dates as tentative. How many exam days a city gets depends on how many candidates it has.
Eligibility
- Nationality: Resident Indian, NRI or OCI cardholder with a residential address in India. NRIs and international students also have separate routes.
- Age: date of birth on or after 1 July 2004.
- Class 12 year: passed in 2025 or 2026, or appearing in 2027. Those who passed in 2024 or earlier are not eligible.
- Marks, Maths stream (MPCEA): at least 60% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, with at least 50% in Mathematics. This makes you eligible for all B.Tech programmes.
- Marks, Biology stream (BPCEA): at least 60% aggregate in Biology, Physics and Chemistry, with at least 50% in Biology. This makes you eligible only for a short list of programmes such as Biotechnology and Bioengineering.
- Relaxation: 50% aggregate for SC/ST candidates and for candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and the North-eastern states. You must show a certificate at counselling.

The test lasts 2 hours. Every question is an MCQ worth +4 if correct and −1 if wrong, with 0 for unanswered or marked-for-review questions, so the maximum is 400 marks. The paper is in English only. You book your exam slot online, and the test city is allotted from the correspondence address in your application. Enter it correctly and upload valid address proof, because the city cannot be changed later.

Application fee
The fee is ₹1,450, paid online by net banking, credit card or debit card. It covers the application and later counselling. For test centres abroad it is the equivalent of USD 90. The fee is non-refundable.
How to apply
- Register on viteee.vit.ac.in with your mobile number and email, and verify the OTP.
- Fill in your personal details, Class 10 details, correspondence address and Class 12 details. Choose MPCEA (Maths) or BPCEA (Biology).
- Upload your Class 10 mark sheet, address proof, a live photograph and your signature.
- Pay ₹1,450 online, then download the filled application for your records. No hard copy needs to be sent.
What the score is used for
B.Tech admission to all four VIT campuses is made only through VITEEE-2027 rank-based online counselling. You choose your campus and programme at counselling, not in the application form.
Tips for Maharashtra students
- Your test city depends on the correspondence address you enter, so a Mumbai or Pune address puts you at a nearby centre.
- VITEEE results and counselling (second week of May 2027) may overlap with JEE (Advanced) and MHT-CET, so track all deadlines together.
