Q.2 (1) Debenture Certificate
Q.2 (1) Debenture Certificate
Best answer
Answer: A Debenture Certificate is a document issued by the company under its common seal (or signed as authorised) which is evidence of the holder's title to the debentures.
It states the name of the company, the name of the holder, the number, type and distinctive numbers of the debentures, the amount paid, the rate of interest, the date and terms of redemption and the security (if any). Under the Companies Act, 2013 it must be issued within six months of allotment. Where debentures are held in demat form, no certificate is issued; the holding is shown in the holder's demat account.
