Debenture Certificate
Q.2 (iv) Debenture Certificate
Q.2 (iv) Debenture Certificate
Best answer
Answer: A debenture certificate is a document issued by the company which is evidence of the holder's title to the debentures.
It is issued under the common seal (if any) or signed by authorised persons. It states the name of the company, the name of the debentureholder, the number, type and distinctive numbers of debentures, the amount paid, the rate of interest, and the terms and date of redemption. It must be issued within six months from the date of allotment. When debentures are held in demat form, no certificate is issued; the holding is credited to the holder's demat account.
