In male and female reproductive system of human, the pituitary gland is same (common). The pituitary secretes follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) in both sexes. In men these hormones control sperm production and testosterone secretion by the testes; in women they control growth of the follicle, ovulation and formation of the corpus luteum in the ovary.
