Syphilis and gonorrhoea.
Both are sexually transmitted diseases caused by bacteria. Syphilis causes chancre (patches) on the genitals and other parts, rash, fever, inflammation of joints and loss of hair. Gonorrhoea causes painful, burning urination, oozing of pus and inflammation of the urinary tract. (AIDS, caused by HIV, is another sexually transmitted disease.)
