When turgor pressure is equal to wall pressure of a turgid cell, then what would be the diffusion pressure deficit?
Q.2 (iii) When turgor pressure is equal to wall pressure of a turgid cell, then what would be the diffusion pressure deficit?
Q.2 (iii) When turgor pressure is equal to wall pressure of a turgid cell, then what would be the diffusion pressure deficit?
Best answer
Answer: Zero.
DPD = OP − TP. In a fully turgid cell TP (balanced by an equal WP) becomes equal to OP, so DPD = 0 and the cell takes in no more water.
