Statement of Purpose
Programme : Bachelor of Fine Arts (Canvas Painting)

Colours have been my language since childhood. I spent hours sketching village landscapes and painting festival scenes, and my school art teacher encouraged me to take part in competitions, where I won several prizes. This passion led me to complete a Diploma in Fine Arts with distinction, where I learnt drawing, composition, colour theory and the use of oils and acrylics on canvas.

During the diploma, my series of paintings on rural women was displayed at a district art exhibition, and the response convinced me that canvas painting is my true calling. I now wish to study it in depth — art history, advanced techniques and contemporary styles.

Your university, with its renowned faculty, well-equipped studios and regular exhibitions, is the ideal place for me to grow. My goal is to become a professional painter and to open an art studio for children in my town. I am sincere and hard-working, and I am confident I will be a dedicated student of your institution.
