Dear citizens,

Every woman has the right to live, study, work and travel with dignity and without fear. Let us respect women’s rights at home, at the workplace and in public places, and never tolerate harassment or discrimination.

Know and use the safety measures and support systems available : the women’s helpline 1091, the emergency number 112, safety apps, well-lit public spaces and self-defence training.

Women’s safety is our collective responsibility. Speak up when you see wrong, help anyone in distress and teach boys to respect girls.

The government has taken many initiatives such as special police squads, fast-track courts and the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme. Let us support them.

Together we can make every street safe!
