Co-ordinate Geometry test overview
This test covers the Co-ordinate Geometry chapter of the Class 10 Geometry syllabus. It uses all the main formulas of the chapter: the distance formula (from the origin and between two points), the midpoint and section formula (dividing a segment in the ratio 1 : 2), the centroid of a triangle, and the slope of a line, including the slope of the X-axis. Harder questions ask you to find an unknown k from a given slope, find k when three points are collinear, and find the ratio in which the Y-axis divides a segment.
Format
- 10 questions, single correct option
- 1 mark each, total 10
- 15-minute timer
- No negative marking
Who it is for
Students who have finished the chapter and want a quick check of their formulas. Write the formula before putting in the numbers; sign errors with negative co-ordinates are the usual problem. Use the explanations to check each substitution. If you score below 6, practise the section formula and the slope condition for collinearity, which also come up in written board questions.
