About this SSC Geometry practice paper

This is an original Doubtly practice paper for Maharashtra SSC (Class 10) Mathematics Part 2 (Geometry). It follows the board's question pattern, but it is not an official Maharashtra State Board paper. All questions are new and each one has a worked solution. Figures are described in words in each question, so you can draw them yourself while solving.

Paper pattern

The paper is for 40 marks and 2 hours. Q.1 has four MCQs and four one-mark questions; Q.2 has activities (any two) and short questions (any four); Q.3 has one activity out of two and two 3-mark questions out of four, including a theorem proof and a construction; Q.4 has two 4-mark questions out of three; and Q.5 has one 3-mark application question out of two. All seven chapters are covered: Similarity, Pythagoras Theorem, Circle, Geometric Constructions, Co-ordinate Geometry, Trigonometry and Mensuration.

How to use it

Write the paper in two hours with a compass, ruler and protractor ready for the constructions. Draw a neat figure for every question, then compare your work with the solutions.

FAQs

Is this the real board paper?

No. It is a Doubtly practice paper made in the board pattern for revision.

Do I have to draw figures in the exam?

Yes. A neat labelled figure is expected for proofs, constructions and most problems, and constructions must keep the arcs visible.

Which value of π should I use?

Use the value given in the question, usually \(\dfrac{22}{7}\) or 3.14.
