Dear Papa,

I hope you and Mummy are well. I have some happy news for you — our school is holding a Social and Cultural Gathering on 10th and 11th March in the Cultural Hall of Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Nashik.

The programme is called ‘Mega Events’ and it includes dance, drawing, singing, drama, games, one-act play, mimicry and mime. I am taking part in the one-act play and in the mimicry competition, and my teacher says our play is one of the best items of the gathering. The function begins at 10.00 a.m. on both days.

I request you to attend the gathering, at least on the first day. Your presence will give me confidence, and you will also enjoy the performances of my friends. Please bring Mummy along with you.
