Political Parties chapter test
This test covers Chapter 3 of SSC Political Science. It starts with the basics: what a political party is and the name for the social support a party gets. Most questions then ask about the history of India's parties: the founding years of the Indian National Congress, the Communist Party of India, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party, and when the Trinamool Congress was recognised as a national party. The regional parties part asks which state the National Conference belongs to and what the Justice Party became. The last question asks for the name of a two-party system.
Format
- 10 questions, single correct option
- 1 mark each, total 10
- 15 minutes; no negative marking
How to use it
Take it after studying the chapter and making a small table of parties, founding years and regions. The year questions have close options, so check each one against your notes. After you submit, read the explanations. If you score below 6, revise the national and regional parties sections and the conditions for recognition as a national party, which is a common short-answer board question.
The SSC Political Science questions page has more practice; the Class 10 exam hub has the rest of the tests.
