It covers how constituencies are drawn (the Delimitation Commission) and the number of Lok Sabha seats given in the textbook. Other questions cover the first voter of independent India, by-elections, the slip facility added to EVMs, who decides the timing and phases of state elections, and the decade in which EVMs came into use.
Format
10 MCQs, 1 mark each (10 marks), 15 minutes. One correct answer per question; no negative marking.
How to use it
Take the test after reading the chapter. Keep the roles of the Election Commission, the Delimitation Commission and the state Chief Electoral Officer clear in your mind, because the options often swap them. After submitting, read every explanation. If you score under 6, revise the functions of the Election Commission and the types of elections, which also come up in "complete the chart" questions on the board paper.
