Sports and History chapter test
This test covers Chapter 7 of SSC History, which links sports, games and toys to history. It asks who first standardised the rules of sports, and who devised Mallakhamb according to Manisha Bathe. Several questions are about toys: the name of Maharashtra's wooden dolls, the meaning of the play title Mrichchhakatika, where descriptions of flying dolls are found, and what an Indian ivory doll found at Pompeii tells us. Modern sports questions cover the person whose birthday is National Sports Day, the first Indian cricketer to do cricket commentary on Akashvani, an Indian outdoor game, and India's national game.

How to use it
This short chapter is good for quick marks. Take the test after one reading of the chapter. Read the options carefully, since several are well-known sports names that could fit at first glance. After submitting, read every explanation. If you score below 6, re-read the sections on toys and the history of sports, which also appear in passage-based board questions.
More History practice is on the SSC History page; the Maharashtra SSC hub has every other test.
