About this practice paper

This is an original Doubtly practice paper for Maharashtra SSC Social Sciences Paper I (History and Political Science), Class 10. It follows the board’s question-paper pattern, but it is not an official board paper; every question is new and was written for practice. Each question has a full model answer.

Pattern: 40 marks, 2 hours

Questions 1 to 5 are on History (28 marks) and Questions 6 to 9 are on Political Science (12 marks). History has MCQs, wrong pairs, charts and concept maps, short notes, statements to explain with reasons, a passage and longer answers. Political Science has MCQs, true or false with reasons, concepts, a chart or concept map and brief answers. All nine History chapters and all five Political Science chapters are covered.

How to use it

Write the whole paper by hand in 2 hours, attempting only as many questions as each heading asks for. Then check your answers against the model answers and count how many points you wrote for each 2-mark and 3-mark answer.

FAQs

Is this the real board paper?

No. It is a practice paper made by Doubtly in the board pattern. Use it alongside the board’s previous papers.

How long should a 3-mark answer be?

Three or four clear points, each with a fact such as a name, a date or an example, are usually enough.

Do I need to write full sentences in the MCQs?

Yes. In Q.1 (A) and Q.6, write the completed sentence, not just the option letter.
