July 2025 Science and Technology Part 1 board paper

This is the SSC Science Part 1 paper from the Maharashtra Board exam held on 3 July 2025 (English medium, paper code N 705). It is a 2-hour, 40-mark paper, and each new question must be started on a new page. Q.1 has five MCQs and five one-mark items; Q.2 asks for scientific reasons and short answers; Q.3 has 3-mark questions (attempt any five) and Q.4 is a 5-mark question with a choice of two.

The paper tests the periodic table and electronic configuration, oxidation and endothermic/exothermic reactions, electric power and the magnetic effect of current, lenses and the Cartesian sign convention, specific heat and heat calculations, escape velocity and free fall, the rainbow, and the alkane series in a ten-row table.

How to use it

Write the paper in 2 hours without a calculator, showing every step of the numericals. Then check each answer against the model answers. Revise weak chapters with the Science Part 1 full subject test and the Science Part 1 questions page.
