March 2026 Science and Technology Part 1 board paper

This is the SSC Science Part 1 paper from the Maharashtra Board exam held on 11 March 2026 (English medium, paper code N 940). It is a 2-hour, 40-mark paper with no calculator. Q.1 has five MCQs and five one-mark items; Q.2 asks for scientific reasons and short answers; Q.3 has 3-mark questions (attempt any five) and Q.4 is a 5-mark question with a choice of two.

The paper tests escape velocity, the p-block and periodicity, Joule’s law, refraction and the refractive index, lenses and eye defects, the electric motor, the heat-exchange principle, hydrogenation of oils, alloys and benzene, a satellite-period calculation, balancing an equation from an atom count, mirage, and the extraction of aluminium.

How to use it

Attempt the paper in 2 hours, writing every step of the numericals and drawing the circuit and ray diagrams. Then check each answer against the model answers. Revise weak chapters with the Science Part 1 full subject test and the Science Part 1 questions page.
