June 2026 Social Science Paper II: Geography

This is the Maharashtra SSC Geography paper (Social Sciences Paper II) from June 2026, English medium, paper code N 434. It is a 2-hour paper for 40 marks on the India–Brazil comparison. This year the map question asked for places to be marked in an outline map of India; Q.4(A) is not included here, while the Brazil map of forests in Q.4(B) is described in words.

The paper tests the coastline and climate of Brazil, Indian rivers and per capita income, a matching set on transport, dance and forests, right-or-wrong statements on population and wildlife, a map of the forests of Brazil, reasons on perennial rivers and mixed economy, a line graph of Brazil's urbanisation, a graph of international tourists, and detailed answers on field visits, the climate of India and the industries of Brazil.

How to use it

Write the paper in 2 hours without looking at the answers, then check them. Both graph questions in Q.6 are worth practising, since either may appear. Revise with the Geography questions page.
