Location and Extent: India and Brazil
This test covers Chapter 2 of SSC Geography, the first chapter of the India-Brazil comparison. On India, it asks for the name of India's southernmost point, the parallel it lies on, and the hemispheres India is in. Most questions are about Brazil's history and government: when it became independent, which European power ruled it for over three centuries, the period of military rule, its capital, its type of government, the date of its Independence Day, and where the name "Brazil" comes from.
Format
- 10 MCQs, one correct option each
- 1 mark per question, 10 marks
- 15 minutes; no negative marking
How to use it
Take the test after reading the chapter and studying the maps of both countries. Make a two-column comparison of India and Brazil (location, independence, government); later chapters build on it. After submitting, read every explanation. If your score is below 6, revise the facts about Brazil and practise the map questions, since a map of India or Brazil appears in every board paper.
The Geography subject page has more solved questions; the SSC Class 10 hub lists every test.
