About this practice paper

This is an original Doubtly practice paper for Maharashtra SSC Science and Technology Part 1 (Class 10). It follows the board’s question-paper pattern, but it is not an official board paper; every question is new and was written for practice. Each question has a full model answer.

Pattern: 40 marks, 2 hours

Q.1 (A) has five MCQs and Q.1 (B) has five one-mark items (odd one out, correlation, true or false, match the pair, one-line answer). Q.2 (A) asks for scientific reasons (any two) and Q.2 (B) has two-mark questions (any three). Q.3 has three-mark questions (any five), and Q.4 is a five-mark question (any one). All ten chapters are covered: gravitation, periodic classification, chemical reactions, effects of electric current, heat, refraction of light, lenses, metallurgy, carbon compounds and space missions.

How to use it

Sit for 2 hours without a calculator. Write every step of the numericals with units, and draw the diagrams the questions ask for. Then compare your answers with the model answers; where a figure is needed, the solution says what to draw and label.

FAQs

Is this the real board paper?

No. It is a practice paper made by Doubtly in the board pattern. Use it alongside the board’s previous papers.

Do I have to attempt all questions?

No. As in the board exam, Q.2 (A), Q.2 (B), Q.3 and Q.4 have internal choice; the instructions in each heading say how many to attempt.

Which value of g should I use?

Use the value given in the question. Where none is given, use 9.8 m/s² for the earth.
