About the March 2025 SSC Algebra board paper

This is the Mathematics Part I (Algebra) paper set by the Maharashtra State Board for the March 2025 Class 10 exam, held on 5 March 2025 (English medium, paper code N 819). It is a 2-hour paper for 40 marks, and calculators are not allowed. It follows the board pattern:

  • Q.1: four MCQs and four one-mark questions
  • Q.2: activities to complete (any two) and short sums (any four)
  • Q.3: one activity and two 3-mark sums
  • Q.4 and Q.5: longer 4-mark and 3-mark problems with internal choice

All six chapters appear. Examples include the graph of x + 2y = 4, Cramer's rule, quadratics by factorisation and by formula, the 19th term of an A.P. and a loan repaid in instalments, shares bought at a premium with brokerage and GSTIN format, forming two-digit numbers and committees for probability, and statistics from a pie diagram of blood groups and a table of marks for 180 students.

How to use this paper

Print it or copy the questions, set a 2-hour timer and solve it on paper first, writing full steps as you would in the exam hall. Then check each answer against the worked solution given for every question and mark yourself honestly. Note which chapters cost you marks and revise them using the Algebra full subject test and the Algebra questions page.
