Environmental Management chapter test
This test covers Chapter 4 of SSC Science Part 2. It includes dates and laws: the date of World Environment Day and the year the Environment (Protection) Act was passed. It also covers biodiversity: a biodiversity hotspot in India, the three levels of biodiversity, endemic species, and the Red Data Book and who publishes it. Conservation is tested through the difference between in-situ and ex-situ conservation with examples, and the aim of the Chipko movement. One ecology question asks how energy flows in an ecosystem.
Format
- 10 questions with one correct option
- 1 mark each, 10 marks
- 15 minutes, no negative marking
How to use it
This chapter has many facts, so take the test after one careful reading and a short revision of the dates and examples. After submitting, read the explanations to learn the reason behind each answer, for example why a zoo counts as ex-situ conservation. If you score under 6, make a small list of hotspots, conservation methods and environmental laws, and try the test again a few days later.
More environment questions with answers are on the Science Part 2 page, and the SSC Class 10 hub lists every chapter test.
