Climate chapter test: India and Brazil
This test covers Chapter 4 of SSC Geography. For India, it asks for the type of climate, the state that gets the most rain from the retreating monsoon, the driest part of the country, how hot Ganganagar gets in June, and where low-pressure areas form in summer. For Brazil, the questions cover average temperature and rainfall in the Amazon valley, the winds that bring Brazil most of its rain, why tropical cyclones rarely reach its coast, and the unusual conditions that bring snowfall to southern Brazil.
Format
- 10 single-correct MCQs
- 1 mark each, total 10 marks
- 15 minutes, with no negative marking
How to use it
Take the test after reading the chapter and looking at the rainfall and temperature maps of both countries. For each question, think about the cause (winds, relief, latitude) as well as the fact. After submitting, the explanations give these causes, which you can reuse in "give geographical reasons" answers. If your score is below 6, revise the factors affecting the climate of each country and compare their seasons.
