About the July 2024 SSC Geometry board paper

This is the Mathematics Part II (Geometry) paper of the Maharashtra Board Class 10 examination of July 2024 (English medium, paper code N 397, Revised Course). You get 2 hours for 40 marks and a calculator is not allowed. Proper figures must be drawn, construction marks must be kept, and a diagram is essential while proving a theorem.

The paper follows the usual five-question pattern: four MCQs and four one-mark questions in Q.1, activities with internal choice in Q.2 and Q.3 (A), and short and long answer questions in Q.2 (B), Q.3 (B), Q.4 and Q.5. All seven chapters appear: similar triangles and the property of three parallel lines, the geometric mean in a right triangle, the angle between two intersecting chords, the cyclic quadrilateral theorem, two constructions of tangents plus a similar-triangle construction, collinearity and a line bisecting a segment, the angle of elevation of a tree across a river, and volumes and surface areas of a cone, cylinder and sphere.
